PANUORIN: STYLE ng ADMINISTRASYON ni NOYNOY, GINAYA lang ni DUTERTE ayon kay CHIZ EZCUDERO!

President Rodrigo Duterte has only copied the style of the administration of Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero said on Thursday, October 19.

“Yung (Supreme Court) chief justice, na-impeach. Nagpakulong ng tatlong nakaupong senador, ng kanyang predecessor. Wala namang nagsabing papunta tayo sa diktadurya noon. Dito, binabantaan ng impeachment ang Ombusman,” this is the statement of Sen. Escudero who is now in his second term and is not eligible to run for reelection on 2019.

“May impeachment process ngayon sa House, ang laban ngayon sa chief justice. May isang senador na napakulong. Halos, kung titingnan nyo, parallel, pareho at parang kinokopya yung nangyari sa ating kasaysayan," he added.

As we all know, on Dec. 12, 2011, the Chief Justice Renato Corona was impeached while in 2014, senators like Juan Ponce Enrile, Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and Jinggoy Estrada were arrested and detained for plunder and graft charges related to pork barrel scam. Nevertheless, the Supreme Court allowed Enrile and Estrada to post bail on August 2015 and September 2017, respectively.

On the other hand, Sen. De Lima was arrested last February for her alleged involvement in the proliferation of illegal drugs inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP). A staunch critic of President Duterte, the Liberal Party (LP) senator was accused of orchestrating a drug-trafficking ring when she was justice secretary during the Aquino administration.

Meanwhile, Sen. Escudero also said that President Duterte does not have enough support from the military to establish a revolutionary government, and that it is not allowed under the 1987 Constitution. This was his response to earlier warning of the president that he would declare a revolutionary government if his critics will attempt to destabilize the government.
