Former President Benigno Aquino III and two of his former Cabinet Secretaries Garin and Abad were subpoenaed issued by the Department of Justice on criminal charges filed against them due to Dengvaxia Vaccination Program including reported deaths and health injuries after victims being vaccinated.
The complaints of P3,5 billion worth of government program, filed by the anti-corruption groups Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption and Vanguard of the Philippine Constitution Inc., charges of multiple homicide and physical injuries under the Revised Penal Code, malversation of public funds, and violations of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act and the Government Procurement Reform Act.
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II had tapped the Public Attorney’s Office and National Bureau of Investigation to conduct an investigation to determine accountability to support the proofs on hand.
