Abu Sayyaf Group commander Nurhassan Jamiri, a terror leader and 13 of his followers surrendered to local authorities in coastal village of Seronggon, Basilan.
Vice Mayor Talib Pawaki confirmed the incident and also said that the Jamiri group surrendered 11 firearms.
Jamiri is facing criminal charges for kidnapping and murder in Basilan and Zamboanga. One of the noted crime was a kidnapping of a nurse Preciosa Feliciano in 2008.
