Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia came into defense after the pre-nuptial wedding photos taken in the local village in Ethiopia went viral in social media. The engaged couple said that the photos were "taken out of context" and that it was not their intention to be offensive.
Netizen rallied their reactions from the few photos of the couple showed them with Ethiopian children, and a mother with her baby in the background. Of what the netizens called as props and racist. They even go further that the photos showed sides of royalty.
The couple stated, "It's unfortunate how it was taken out of context. It's far from what we intended. We were invited and sponsored by Ethiopian Airlines to do our shoot there for their tourism and capture their natural environment because we were told that tourism helps their economy. That's why we were in Ethiopia."
