As the premiere critic to the Duterte administration disclosing his drug war, Sen. Leila De Lima had said her intention to participate the trial proceedings of Chief Justice.
Malacañang Palace is opposing Sen. Leila De Lima's presence in the hearing of Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno's impeachment trial at the House of the Senate.
“To show her that we are treating her fairly, we ordered her robe,” Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III said.
