Detained Senator Leila de Lima said "The youth are truly the ones who can wake up and jolt our citizens who until now are turning a blind eye, turning a deaf ear and pretending to be asleep on the injustices and ungodly leadership of those in power right now." De Lima urges the party youth member of Liberal Party to initiate “revolution of conscience”.
De Lima believed that youth member in LP had that power to ignite change and influence people to be awaken on the rampant human rights abuses in the Philippines under the leadership of President Duterte. She added that in these challenging times, the Filipino youth should act like how heroes would in times of difficulties.
