A illegal homemade brew killed 60 Indonesians and dozens have been hospitalized from drinking and with the death toll steadily climbing.
The Police authorities raided the areas where Muslim majority is present, considering the customs of Muslim Indonesians practicing traditions of making homemade alcohol.
The same account 36 people died in Central Java after drinking locally-bought homebrew.
“He mixed (pure alcohol) with ginseng, cough medicine and mosquito repellent,” local police chief Agung Budi Maryoto.
