Transport officials moved by the first anniversary of the clearing operations in Baclaran, now the streets are clean and free. Out from congestion and street vendors and traffic jammed.
Transport Undersecretary for RoadsTim Orbos said that for almost five decades, a huge portion of Baclaran could not be used by the public. He lauded the success in eliminating and maintaining the streets into cleaned and passage way available to public.
He added that if without the direct mandate of President Rodrigo Duterte this would not be happening that people can pass by free from jammed and traffic.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said that in a year’s time, they will begin construction of a permanent market that will house the vendors. This market would sit on a 1.8-hectare lot across Baclaran.
