MALACAÑANG roared that the landslide victory of President Rodrigo Duterte was with 16 million Filipinos entrusting him to lead PH, not with scarce 1,175,870 Filipino Facebook users. But did not denied the fraction it helped but denying the allegations of Cambridge Analytica, Hongkong based newspaper published Duterte won over facebook supporters.
Finance secretary Carlos Dominquez III, then Duterte election campaign manager, said “no money was spent to seek any advice from the political consultancy firm Cambridge Analytica.”
The Philippines was ranked by Facebook as the second most affected country by Cambridge Analytica’s data breach, with 1.175 million Filipino users believed to have been stolen.
