Philippine immigration authorities denied entry and deportation of Giacomo Filibeck, Duterte's critic of anti-drug campaign and Socialist Party official from the European Union who will attend the 2 days Anakbayan Party Congress. He is one of the 10 foreigners invited to attend the event.
Giacomo Filibeck, deputy secretary-general of the Party of European Socialists (PES), was denied entry at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport for illegal political activity, ANAKBAYAN official said.
The Anakbayan condemned the act of the administration and they called "paranoid".
PES president Sergei Stanishev said it was "unacceptable" a member of the party "should treated as a criminal on orders of the government and forcibly deported from the country."
