ADMU LAW STUDENTS SUBMITTED 2 PAGE LETTER FOR PET TO USE 25% IN THE MANUAL RECOUNT OF VP POLL 2016

After the manual recount of Vice-Presidential race in 2016 was being supported by former Human Rights chair Etta Rosales and Sister Mary John Mananzan to use 25% threshold of counting he votes. A group of Law students in Ateneo de Manila University has signed a  2 page letter expressing for 25% counting mechanics for recounting of votes for VP race in 2016.

"As students of the law, we are imploring your good office as counsel for the Comelec to prevent the disenfranchisement of votes and to present the rule as it should be applied. "To ensure that people's voices are heard through their votes, it is necessary that we use the same threshold for all positions in the 2016 elections."

The PET currently uses a 50-percent threshold in a manual recount of votes that they say causing a systematic decrease of votes from Leni to a thin line.
