PNP DEPLOYS 1,100 POLICE ACROSS THE NATION TO SERVED AS BEI'S IN LOCAL ELECTIONS

Philippine National Police Director General Oscar Albayalde on said that he 1,100 deployed police officers served as Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) in the 2018 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

From Commission on Elections (Comelec), Albayalde said 180 police officers deployed at Sulu as BEIs; 45 in Basilan; 177 in Maguindanao; 400 in Lanao del Sur; 119 in Cotabato City; and 109 in Cotabato province.

There were 7,915 barangays identified as hotspots:1,415 were located in ARMM, Bicol with 1,304 hotspots, second in the highest, followed by Soccsksargen at 661.
