In a statement during the Northern Mindanao league for Barangay Chairpersons in Cagayan De Oro City, he said that the rule is to protect the integrity of the police force since it was known before that the police had personal business with them. "They have no business doing that," Duterte said.
Prostitution is illegal in the Philippines which is punishable by imprisonment, fine or both under the Revised Penal Code.
