Bureau of Immigration personnel receives a repeated warning from the President on Wednesday after they've allegedly involved again in anomalous dealing. President Rodrigo Duterte threatens that they will be reassigned to Jolo Sulo or worst be killed if they will not stop the illegal acts inside the Immigration office.
Rumors that Bureau of Immigration personnel in exchange for the tourists processing their travel documents they allegedly practice soliciting bribes from Chinese and South Korean tourists. Duterte lamented this issues and quoted that "lots of stupid things going on" in the immigration office.
"Do not do that because isang mali lang hihiritan kita. Either patayin kita o sampulan kita o itapon kita sa Jolo kapag nag-init ang ulo ko," Duterte said.
Duterte is more than willing to dismiss more corrupt officials if it is found guilty. He even mentioned on his speech that he doesn't care if it is the term where there are so many officials will be dismissed on their positions as long as he is serious on taking this act of stopping corruptions. "Not during my time!" the president added. He then issued a remark the day after he vowed to not give a second chance to those who are erring government officials and employees.
