Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos is firmed that there is nothing similar between her late father, the famous dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. and President Rodrigo Duterte except that they were both lawyers.
She added that “Not at all. You're asking the wrong person,” when further asked that both have the same style when it comes to ruleship and leadership.
Late Pres. Marcos declared Martial Law in 1972 and ruled the country for 20 years and was ousted through People Power Revolution or EDSA 1 and power inherited to Late President Cory Aquino in snap elections.
Pres. Duterte declared Martial Law in Mindanao in 2017 and was affirmed by the Supreme Court and twice extended through its legitimacy. Declaration led out of the insurgency by Isis-inspired Maute Terrorist Group in Marawi City, Marawi Seige.
