Ousted Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno hit backed President Rodrigo Duterte actions on firing government officials with history in corruption are mere facade of publicity.
Sereno even suggested that the administration should follow the constitution and the due process of law when a person is being accused of a crime such as illegal drugs and corruption related incidents.
Among the officials he had fired were Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor chairman Terry Ridon, National Irrigation Authority Administrator Peter Tiu Laviña, Dangerous Drugs Board Chair Dionisio Santiago, and Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Mike Sueno.
