TRILLANES DARES DUTERTE TO FIRE TOP LAWYER SOLGEN CALIDA DUE TO CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV dared President Rodrigo Duterte to fire Solicitor General Jose Calida over alleged corruption committed from his family-owned security agency. The said agency had contracts with various government entities amounting P150 million.

The senator said the President was quick to remove officials not close to him. He insinuated that Calida won't be removed since he knew a lot from the administration.

Vigilant Investigative and Security Agency Inc. (VISAI), Calida's business secured contracts worth over P150 million with the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC), the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), Department of Justice (DOJ), Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) between 2015 and 2018.
