Antonio Trillanes IV on
Thursday said he would not be cowed by Paolo Duterte's danger to sue him over
charges connecting the presidential child to the P6.4-billion "shabu"
carrying.
Duterte said he would file criminal and civil libel cases against against Trillanes for crushing his name and besmirching his
notoriety.
"This is another frivolous lawsuit that is meant to harass or divert my attention," Sen. Trillanes said in an interview on ANC.
"I will face that lawsuit
squarely," he added.
Trillanes said that during
the Senate hearing, he was able to present circumstantial evidence that linked
the Paolo Duterte to major players tagged in the 6.4 billion shabu shipment
from China.
"Clearly,
I had a basis to link his name in the shabu shipment. It's not
as if I just took his name out from thin air and dragged it or linked it in
this whole mess," he said.
Seizing charges were recorded against Senator Risa Hontiveros a year ago to take care of the observers to the executing of Caloocan adolescent Kian Loyd delos Santos.
Medication related charges were likewise held up against Liberal
Party Senator Leila de Lima who initiated congressional examinations against
affirmed extrajudicial killings submitted under the Duterte organization's war
on drugs.

"The Duterte administration has bastardized and weaponized the justice system against the members of the political opposition," Trillanes said.
"They have been finding
ways to deal with people like me to muzzle the dissenting voice," he added.
