Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino feared that the democracy is at stake if 2019 elections will be postponed and warned that the government will lead to dictatorship.
Aquino was reacting to House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez who said that the upcoming elections in 2019 should be postponed to focused the procedure of Federalism and its transitional government.
Thus, he is worried that the supporters of the Charter Change are those seeking to extend their terms.
