The government of Kuwait has joined the Duterte administration to make some reforms for OFWs working in Kuwait. Few noted amendments were domestic workers will get a day-off every week and should there passport kept with them to ensure that their basic human rights being practice.
But this fragments brought a Kuwaiti star, Sondos Al Qattan enraged. She rave and rant over some conditions of hiring Filipino Domestic Helpers. In the video she released, she criticized the new agreement as ridiculous and said she will not hire OFWs anymore.
A lot of Kuwaiti netizens expressed their disappointment to Al Qattan saying:
1. "She doesn't want a human being to get a day off!! She wants to enslave them!!"
2. "Her job is to be a domestic helper not a slave!!"
3. "Why don't you work seven days a week and give your passport to your boss. Where's your humanity?"
