ROBREDO SLAMS DUTERTE STATEMENT "HUMAN LIVES" VERSUS "HUMAN RIGHTS"

In her speech, during the awarding of the 2018 Liberal International Prize for Freedom recognizing the works and efforts of detained Senator Leila De Lima in fighting for human rights against the advocacy of the administration to fight the illegal drug trade in the Philippines, Vice-President Leni Robredo slammed President Rodrigo Duterte for his statement "Yours is human rights, mine is human lives."

She posed questions "What happened to us? And where is our nation going now?" resonating his SONA addressed for the drug is relentless and chilling.

She said that the statement of the president is misleading since rights to live is anchored with law of the land including their rights to have basic necessities to ensure the free-poverty atmosphere is the country.
