Weeks ago, the threats of Communist Party of the Philippines founding chair Joma Sison that they have planned to dismantle the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte and to oust him in the position were undermined by the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Today, the AFP have confirmed that the rebel group warning is for real based on the documents gathered from surrendered members of the rebel group.

"They have that particular plan and they have hatched that during the period we were conducting peace negotiations. Their deadline based on the information is October of 2018," AFP spokesperson Col. Edgard Arevalo said.
