2 BIR OFFICIALS, Victims for Kidnap-for-Ransom Group paid P50-P100 million

Two revenue district officers in Metro Manila were reportedly kidnapped and released after payment has been done amounting PHP 50-100 million.

It was reported that they were taken from their respective residences and forced to open their cash vaults from the gun pointing at them.

Sources from previous incidents where BIR officials were reported victims of KFR has prompted then BIR Commissioner Kim S. Jacinto-Henares to remark: “Kayo-kayo langyan”, drawn mixed reactions from the public.
