Detained Senator Leila de Lima has written a bill sought to take measures in road safety and convenience. She filed Senate Bill No. 1905 or the provision in "Pedestrian Safety Act" to ensure sidewalks and public roads free from obstructions and the Traffic Code is being imposed by the local authorities.
“Given a large number of pedestrian fatalities and injuries, there is an urgent need for the government to make our streets pedestrian-friendly,” De Lima said, referring the roadsigns warning and full implementation of the signs and traffic discipline.
