SEN. PACQUIO DISAGREES POPE FRANCIS STAND ON DEATH PENALTY

Sen. Manny Pacquio came out opposing the stand of the highest official in the Roman Catholic Chruch, Pope Francis saying that the death penalty or capital punishment is against the law of human rights. But Pacqiuo asserts his stand that he has scripture to back-up that the Death Penalty is admissible. Manny filed 3 bills provision to revive the death penalty while delimiting the scope.

“This is not about me or what I want but this is in the Bible and also in our Constitution, so there is no problem,” Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao previously filed 3 bills to revive the death penalty but he has agreed to limit the scope to heinous crimes.
