CHED voids DANIEL MATSUNAGA's doctorate degree, school has no PERMIT

Daniel Matsunaga recently received a Ph.D. in Humanities, major in Social Work from the Brethren Evangelical School of Theology (BEST). But the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through the Higher Education Institution (HEI) invalidates and voided the degree granted to him since the school who provided has no permit to operate.

Officer-In-Charge J. Prospero de Vera III announced that BEST has no credential to grant the award since the institution is not duly recognized by the body.

The BEST violated the CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 19 when they granted Daniel the doctorate degree.
