President Rodrigo Duterte has once crashed Israel's history for comparing his war on drugs to Hitler's Holocaust, referring the 3 million casualties of annihilation to a 3 million drug addicts in the Philippines.
Haaretz, a newspaper in Israel published in Hebrew and English said that Duterte visit in the Holy Land would be "Unwanted Guest" and branded his visitation as a "shameful diplomatic stain." The editorial team added that the president of the Philippines is one known violators in the world against human rights and its organized crimes.
"In exchange for a mess of pottage—abstaining or supporting Israel in a few UN votes—a controversial leader has won a warm embrace from Israel. In the process, he has also won public absolution for his anti-Semitic remarks," the editorial, dated September 2, read.
