The 2010 proclamation issued by then former President Benigno Aquino failed to validate their decision over granted amnesty to Trillanes.
Earlier today, the SC has voided the amnesty and Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that “There is no legal impediment now to implement Proclamation 572. He had his day in court and he failed.”
Proclamation 572 was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte seeking to arrest Trillanes in his failure to submit requirements pre-requisite to validate the grant in 2010.
