Donald Trump tweeted that "Facebook was always Anti-Trump" despite his campaign solely relying on targeted Facebook's Ads during the election.
This morning, Trump tweeted,
"Facebook was always Anti-Trump." The Networks were always Anti-Trump hence, Fake News, @nytimes (apologized) & @WaPo were anti-Trump. Collusion?
"But the people were Pro-Trump! Virtually no President has accomplished what we have accomplished in the first 9 months-and economy roaring.”
“Trump says Facebook is against him. Liberals say we helped Trump. Both sides are upset about ideas and content they don’t like. That’s what running a platform for all ideas looks like,” he wrote.
Zuckerberg was describing Facebook's impact on the election that it was more on giving everyone including the candidates a voice than malicious bias.
Despite those regrets, Zuckerberg still believes that Facebook's greatest influence during the election was a positive one: raising awareness to get out the vote; connecting candidates and constituents; and distributing legitimate ads that were 1000x more than any problematic ads we've found.
