“See you tomorrow,”
Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go quoted Trump as saying
to Duterte upon their meeting, referring to the 31st Association of Southeast
Asian Nations (Asean) Summit in the Philippines.
In a televised press
briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque described the meeting as “warm
and cordial.”
“It was a brief
meeting. I, myself, was not present in the room but I got the information from
Secretary Bong Go, who is the Special Assistant to the President,” Roque told the
reporters.
Moreover, Trump is
expected to arrive in Manila on Sunday for the Asean Summit and
Related Summits.
