Generally, 39% of Filipinos were in favor to legalize the Divorce Law in the country. Inside the general percentage more woman nods the bill than the men. Out of 1,200 respondents both in rural and urban areas, the generic view finds the bill worthy to be enacted
Surveyed by the Catholic Church-run Radio Veritas shown that the interest of the public nationwide indicated"strongly agree". Whereas the statistics in the House of Congress was half-baked, both infavor and otherwise bears the same support of 13%.
Younger respondents “strongly agreed” with the legalization of divorce, with 43 percent aged 13-20 years old, 34 percent aged 21-39, 38 percent from 40-60 years old, and 19 percent aged 61 and above.
Radio Veritas president Fr. Anton Pascual described the results of the survey as “a wake-up call and a big challenge to the Catholic Church.”
