Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager Eddie Monreal informed the public that based on the intelligence report, their office was tapped to heighten the security level to protect the personnel and passengers from possible terrorists attack from the remnants of Maute-Isis inspired terrorist groups.
The MIAA has enhanced their security personnel armed with assault rifles, machine pistols and bullet-proof vests all around the premises to ensure that the directive is implemented accordingly.
Th airport also installed high tech cameras to captures images and detect suspicious individual in and out in the passengers line. Reports showed that the terrorists most are foreigners from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Chechnya in Russia and Morocco.
