In relation to the implementing rules and guidelines of Republic Act No. 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa permitted policemen to carry guns during off duty as long as it is accordingly concealed.
The 24/7 status of policemen should qualify them to carry prescribed firearms to ensure security along. He assured that even police in concealed gun wearing civilian attire did not violated any laws given.
