There are 13 out of the 23 current senators signed the consolidated bill banning political dynasties or Senate Bill No. 1765 or the Anti-Political Dynasty Act of 2018, including senators Grace Poe, JV Ejercito, Nancy Binay, Cynthia Villar, Sonny Angara and Bam Aquino who are seeking reelection next year.
The ruling party PDP-Laban initially did not included the 6 senators in their line up but House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said that they are still checking the slate.
JV Ejercito admitted that he was dismayed by the ruling party about the commitment but he likewise affirmed, him and other five senators mentioned above are discussing to have a partnership with the "Hugpong ng Pababago" led by Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.
