The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) initiated to commission an observatory for abused OFWs worldwide. This will channel complaints and human rights concerns and thus to assemble data on their in and out in the country to monitor their activities.
The advocacy is to address the issues related to the process in terms of deployment up in to the ladder of employment to better respond the needs in times of abuses employers-wise or found in the agency.
This commission came amidst the series of reported abuses and killings among OFWs in Kuwait, noted was Demafelis an OFW found in the freezer for days.
