Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar informed the public that the PCOO would deploy the set-top boxes or satellite receivers in over 42,000 barangays starting June of 2018, specially to remote barangays with no internet access.
The deployment is nationwide across all barangays soon will be watching presidential speeches and government activities and announcements without tuning in to commercial television channels. He added that deployed satellite receivers bears special internet access is part of the Government Satellite Network (GSN) which Duterte approved December 2017.
The IP installed to barangays will have direct access to the Palace as means for communication.
