UN RAPPORTEUR TAGS PH GOV'T AS FASCIST OVER 600 PEOPLE LABELED AS TERRORISTS

Victoria Tauli-Corpuz, U.N. special rapporteur on the rights of indigenous peoples and a leader of the Kankanaey Igorot people said that the Philippine government has become authoritarian. She sought help from the international human rights community after the Philippine administration publicly declared 600 individuals as terrorists, including her.

Tauli-Corpuz laid down proofs validating her statement over PH government in authoritarian movement, noted are the ongoing public trial of impeachment complaint of Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno versus cases of alleged undeclared wealth and en banc monopoly and the drug trade involvement of detained Senator Leila De Lima.
Malacañang explained that the inclusion of Tauli-Corpuz in the government's "terrorist" list is based on intelligence information and not part of a "witch hunt."
