Globe Telecom Inc., mobile content provider, Got Deals Mobile Inc. license to operate has been revoked by the National Telecommunications Commission and their certificate of registration due to complaint raised by the netizen for the alleged prepaid load theft.
Globe Telecom implemented a strict opt-in system in order to protect consumers from unauthorized load deduction, the decision against the Got Deals Mobile Inc. serves as recall to those service provider bears the same violation, Globe said.
Reported incident is of VAS or Value Added Services when there is automatic subscription even without permission of a load-owner.
