Sitara Wafadar, a woman by birth, whose been hiding her real gender for a decade pretending like a man. The disguise took turns when her parents yearns for her pretense and her liking it and the respect it brings, brought her to work as a "brick boy".
In the norms that men are more important in their culture and bringing the burden as the eldest of the family of 5, all girls. Sitara said "“I never think that I am a girl. My father always says ‘Sitara is like my eldest son’. Sometimes… I attend funerals as his eldest son”.
In her world where gender-twisting is allowed, 18 year old woman literally dressed and stuffed like a man hopes that gender equality would prevail in their country.
“When I go to work most people do not realize that I am a girl. If they realized that an 18-year-old girl was working morning to evening in a brick factory then I would encounter many problems. I would even be kidnapped,” Sitara said.
