Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos both happy with the PH's relationship to China and rather lauded the improved relations between the Duterte and Xi over possible PH services offered to Chinese business community.
These women had in common both have a father who became the President in the Philippines and Gloria and Imee serves as Potician-Leader in their respective premise, attended the mid-term regional conference of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII).
“I think we can all agree that the present approach of President Duterte is the right direction, boosting cooperation not only in trade but in tourism and investments. Our economies are very complementary to each other. China is very strong on the manufacturing side, whereas the Philippines is very strong on the services side especially personal services," Arroyo added.
