AQUINO, DE LIMA, DRILON, MAR ROXAS FACES PLUNDER CASE OVER ILLEGAL SHIPMENT OF GOLD BARS WITH US$141-BILLION








Plunder and graft charges were filed before the Office of the Ombudsman against former President Benigno Aquino III, Sen. Leila De Lima, former DILG secretary Mar Roxas, Sen. Franklin Drilon and 3 other cabinet members in Aquinos's administration over the alleged illegal shipment of US$141-billion worth of gold bars to Thailand.

Also the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) member, lawyer Fernando Perito, and former Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) examiner Rogelio Cantoria filed the plunder and graft complaints
to current BSP Governor Amando Tetangco Jr., former Department of Finance (DOF) secretary Cesar Purisima, and Treasury Department chief dealer Lorelei Fernandez.

It to be that 3,500 metric tons (MT) of illegally shipped gold bars, which came from the BSP, were intercepted in the Union Bank of Switzerland in December 2014. The gold bars will be used allegedly for humanitarian projects.

  1. Sana mabalik sa atin ang mga gold bars na yan na walang kulang. Napakalaki ang mawawala sa atin kung tuluyang mawala sa ating reserve yan. Kaya pala bumulusok ang ating peso dahil sa nawalan tayo ng napakalaking reserve. IBILANGGO AT IBITAY ANG MGA SANGKOT SA KAHAYUPANG ITO!
