HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH CALLED OUT TO STOP THE ANTI-LOITERING LAW / THEY ONLY TARGETS POOR!

Human Rights Watch has called the Philippine National Police to immediately stop the anti-loitering law which reported only implemented for the poor.

HRW stressed that the campaign focused the same communities reportedly targeted by the government’s war on drugs.

“This campaign threatens to retraumatize residents of communities already terrorized by ‘drug war’ executions and is risking the detainees’ health and safety,” HRW Deputy Asia Director Phelim Kine said.
