BODY FOUND IN NCCC MALL, AFTER SIX MONTH FIRE

Davao City, Philippines - A tragic incident happened last December 23, 2017, when a fire hits a mall in Davao City. Victims are mostly a call center agents of an American firm Survey Sampling International. According to the report, there were 38 persons died in the fire.


Just recently, the remains of another victim of a fire recovered on Wednesday after six months. The body was found on the third floor of the NCCC Mall. According to the source, the remains were found during the demolishing of the area.

In a statement of the Management of the NCCC, they said that upon the validation of the contractor they immediately secured and informed the interagency task force, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), PNP and Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) for investigation and transfer of the body to a safe place.


“We are focused on ensuring the proper identification of the body and preserving the dignity of the deceased,” the NCCC Management said.

In a previous report, the fire started from a short-circuit in the ceiling between fabric and furniture that cause the fire.
