Metro Manila, Philippines- Based on the survey from June 15-21, 13 out of 58 individuals were included in the poll that has a big statistical chance of winning according to Pulse Asia. In a latest senatorial survey conducted by the Pulse Asia, four women topped, with Sen. Grace Poe leading the 2019 midterm elections as the probable winner. Garnering 67.4 percent of votes, Poe took the solo lead over 1,800 registered voters nationwide. Followed by Taguig City Representative Pia Cayetano with a voter preference of 55.7 percent; with 50.1 percent voter preference, Sen. Cynthia Villar followed. Meanwhile, Davao City mayor, Sara Duterte- Carpio obtains the statistical ranking of 3rd to 5th with 46.2 percent.
Some other personalities are Sen. Sonny Angara with 41.9 percent, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada (37.0 percent), Ronald Dela Rosa (Bureau of Corrections Chief) with 37.7 percent, Sen. Pimentel III with 37.7 percent, which all of them ranked 5th to 12th. Meanwhile, Sen. Paolo Benigno Aquino IV garnered 32.1 percent of votes, obtaining a ranking of 10th to 16th places.
“The survey is about trust and approval for public service that ought to be felt, especially by the poor. It is also the people’s affirmation for the work of the women in politics,” Poe said.
