Presidential daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio congratulated former President now Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for assuming the top House post and got an overwhelming support of 184 House members but skipped to comment on Pantaleon Alvarez.
"No comment on the change. But, Congratulations to SPGMA. A strong leader," she said.
Alvarez had once been criticized by Duterte-Carpio over her initiative to launched a regional party not affiliated with the ruling PDP-Laban.
