SC TO SOLGEN: GIVEN 5 DAYS TO ANSWER THE REQUEST OF DE LIMA TO ATTEND THE ARGUMENTS OF PHL WITHDRAWAL TO ICC

The Supreme Court has directed the Office of the Solicitor General to answer after Sen. Leila De Lima wrote a motion to let her personally witness the argument of the PHL withdrawal of membership from the International Criminal Court.

The SC opted OSG five days to answer De Lima’s Manifestation and Motion, where including to be temporarily released and allowed her to take part on the discussion of ICC.

Opposition lawmaker cited Article VII Section 21 of the 1987 Constitution which states that “entering into treaty or international agreement requires participation of Congress, that is, through concurrence of at least two-thirds of all the members of the Senate.”
