Caloocan Bishop Iñiguez encourages the Catholics to continuously pray for the guidance of Pres. Duterte

Caloocan Bishop Emeritus Deogracias Iñiguez encourages the Filipinos to support and cooperate with the government in order for us to achieve development and peace. Despite not specifying anything, the bishop says that we should do our best to join in the government’s efforts to help the country.

Apart from the bishop, the chairman of the ecumenical bishops’ forum encourages the Catholics to continuously pray for guidance to come upon President Duterte during his administration.

This comes after the President’s many remarks against the Catholic Church and the bishops which lead it. Currently, bishop David cares for the victims of illegal drugs through their church based drug rehabilitation program.

This program also includes the church caring for children and other families who have been orphaned or left behind by the victims of the extrajudicial killing which have been happening allegedly due to the government’s drug war.

According to the human rights group, there have now been 20,000 deaths because of this.
