Ateneo BULLY kailangan ring protektahan! Paalala ng Commission on Human Rights

Nagkomento ang Commission on Human Rights (CHR) tungkol sa viral video ng pambubully ng isang Ateneo Junior High School sa kapwa estudyante na nangyari sa loob ng comfort room.

Giit ng CHR, dapat protektahan at respetuhin rin ang mga kabataang sangkot sa insidente, hindi lamang ng pamunuan ng paaralan kundi pati na rin ng publiko at ng media.

“It is imperative that the right to privacy and confidentiality of all children involved must always be protected, not only by the school administrations, the parents, other parties concerned, the media, as well as users of social networks,” saad ng CHR.

Paliwanag ng CHR, pangunahing responsibilidad ng pamunuan ng paaralan na turuan ang mga kabataan ng mga maling gawain tulad ng bullying lalo na't nangyayari ito sa loob mismo ng paaralan.

Kailangan umano rin itong maresolba kaagad upang hindi na maulit pang muli.

“Bullying is not a simple issue that only the child victim and his family have to face. Intervention of school officials, especially if the bullying incident transpired in the school premises, is needed to adequately address and if possible, to eliminate the same,” ayon sa CHR.

“Being the primary institution mandated by law to protect and educate the children in any forms of bullying, the school holds vital role to enforce the provision so of the said law.”

“Further, if continuous education, support, program and intervention will be made by the school officials regarding the bullying as mandated by the law, the same will effectively reduce, if not eliminate, bullying cases even outside the school premises,” dagdag nito.

Maraming netizens ang nagpahayag ng damdamin matapos mapanood ang viral video.

Kahit mga kilalang personalidad hindi napigilan magreact sa naturang pambubully. Giit nila, dapat mabigyang aksyon agad ang nangyari dahil hindi ito isang simpeng bagay na dapat palagpasin nalang.

Ilang senador rin ay kinundena ang pambubully. Puro batikos, hamon at pangungutya naman ang mababasang naglipana sa social media laban sa Atenistang bully na isang Taekwando player pala.

Samantala, nagbigay na rin ng desisyon ang Ateneo tungkol isyu. Inihayag nila ang dismissal o hindi na pagtanggap muli sa kanilang paaralan kay Joaquin Montes.
