Muling binatikos ni dating Pangulong Fidel Ramos noong Huwebes ang Administrasyong Duterte. Aniya, ang Pilipinas ay patuloy na bumababa sa ilalim ng Administrasyon.
"We are losing badly and I will say it again after the relief of Marawi City of terrorists," sinabi ni Ramos sa ABS-CBN News sa sidelines ng memoir ni dating Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita sa Camp Aguinaldo.
“So much division among brothers and sisters in the same family that’s happening now. And what I'm saying, there's too much division in our Filipino family for us to really reach our full potential of being competitive in the world," giit pa niya.
Sa kabila ng mga kritisismo, sinabi ni Duterte na iginagalang niya ang mga opinyon ni Ramos.
"You are my idol. You are my number one supporter, but at the same time you are my number one critic now. "You can continue criticizing me, sir," ani Duterte
Maraming beses ng pinupuna ni Ramos si Duterte gayon din ang kanyang mga tao, ngunit ang Pangulo ay tila walang pakialam kahit na ang dating leader ay naging kanyang "number one critic."
"I respect your criticism. I accept your advice and maybe I will mimic your role as president before. I will follow," dagdag pa niya.
