Liberal Party Congressmen walang BUDGET para sa 2018!

Pormal nang pinutol ng House of the Representatives ang budget ng ilang mga lawmakers lalong-lalo na dun sa mga naging kritikal noong nakaraang administrasyon sa kasalukuyang naaprobahan na budget para sa 2018.

“Exacting revenge on the genuine opposition solons by removing projects dedicated not to them but to their citizens shows their desire for autocracy, for dangerous dictatorship. The healthy exchange of opposing views is crucial in a democracy,” sinabi ni Ifugao Representative Teddy Baguilat isang Lieral Party member.

Pahayag naman ni Edcel Lagman, ang Albay 1st district Representative na ang desisyon ay ginawa noong bicameral conference kasama ang senado. Ayon din daw sa mga reports, ito daw ay utos mula kay Speaker Panteleon Alvarez.




“Why punish citizens and communities for the earnest and valiant efforts of their Representatives to maintain responsible dissent as the bedrock of democracy?” tanong niya.

Sinabi ni Lagman na ang kanilang mga badyet ay hindi lamang magtustos ng mga "pet projects" kundi pati na rin ang mahahalagang imprastruktura na siyang kagaya din ng ginagawa ng Administrasyong duterte na mga "Build, build" missions.

Ayon sa iilang source, ang House Majority members na kabilang sa Liberal Party (LP) ay inilaan din daw ang kanilang mga badyet sa distrito para sa mga imprastraktura. Kabilang dito ang:

-Quezon City 3rd District Representative Bolet Banal
-Quezon City 6th District Representative Jose -Christopher Belmonte
-Cavite 1st District Representative Francis Gerald Abaya
-Quezon 2nd District Vicente Alcala
-Dinagat Representative Kaka Bag-ao




Ngunit ang badyet cut ay apektado din sa mga miyembro ng non-LP na kasama din sa majority. Ang Ikalawang Distrito ng Ilocos Norte Representative  na si Imelda Marcos at Representante ng Ikalawang Distrito ng Davao del Norte na si Antonio Floriendo ay pinutol din.

Si Marcos ay isang pampulitikang karibal ng House of Majority na si Rodolfo Fariñas, samantalang si Floriendo ay natagpuang nagkaroon ng alitan kay House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
